Eyre Peninsula
Eyre Peninsula is a vast triangular peninsula named after the early explorer. It spans 1 000 km from Whyalla (east) to the Western Australian border encompassing the immense Nullabor Plain. Bounded by the calm waters of Spencer Gulf (east) the wild and tempestuous seas of the Great Australian Bight (west) and the Gawler Ranges (north), main towns in the area include Port Lincoln, Whyalla, Port Augusta & Ceduna. Farming, pastoral, wine growing and fishing industries all excel here and national parks of interest include Lincoln, Coffin Bay & Gawler Ranges.
